There might be a hitch in your summer road trip plans — the Englishtown ferry will be out of service from Tuesday to Friday for planned repairs.

The boat runs across St. Anns Harbour, providing a shortcut to the Cabot Trail in northern Cape Breton.

Nova Scotia's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure renewal says the Torquil MacLean Ferry is being hauled to Pictou for repairs.

It says come July 18, the Scotian ferry will be brought in.

The Department expects the Torquil MacLean to be out of service for about 10 weeks.
