Nova Scotia RCMP have arrested four men after an 18-year-old man told police he was kidnapped at gunpoint on Tuesday evening.
At around 5:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a kidnapping near Elmsdale. The alleged victim was found safe on a private road in Lantz about 15 minutes later.
The vehicle that police suspect was used in the kidnapping was found in a subdivision in Lantz and four men inside were arrested.
"Further investigation revealed that the alleged kidnapping did take place, however there were no firearms involved and the victim was not hurt," said Enfield RCMP Sgt. Craig Burnett in a statement.
No charges have been laid. Police say the victim and suspects know each other and the victim is not co-operating with police.
