An elderly couple say they are shaken and angry after someone fired a pellet gun at their north-end Halifax home.

John Fagen and his wife returned home from bingo a few nights ago to find their house had been hit by gunfire.

They called a police who pulled a pellet from a shattered window and found at least half a dozen more holes in the siding of their home.

Fagen said people live in a multi-unit low rent apartment nearby are causing problems in his neighbourhood.

"They're getting looked after by the city, my tax dollars, and here they are destroying property. What can I say?"

Fagen said he and his wife are stressed and worried about what's going to happen next.
