Two men in their twenties are facing drug trafficking charges after the RCMP and Bridgewater Police stopped a car in Oxford on Friday evening. 

Police say they conducted the targeted vehicle stop around 5:00 p.m. 

Officers searched the car and say they found 1000 methamphetamine tablets along with cannabis marijuana. 

Police believe the drugs were destined for Lunenburg County. 

Four people in the car were arrested. 

A 28-year old Bridgewater man is facing a charge of drug trafficking, while a 23-year-old man is facing charges of drug trafficking and breaching a conditional sentence order. 

Charges are pending against two women who were also in the car, they have been released from custody. 

The investigation is continuing.
