A 76-year-old Halifax man and a 73-year-old Halifax woman face charges after police found drugs during a search of a home.

On Saturday, officers searched a home in the 3300 block of Romans Avenue. 

During the search, police seized cocaine, marijuana, cannabis resin, drug paraphernalia and cash.

The two seniors are each charged with one count of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of drugs. 

Following their arrest, both were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date.
