Driver accused of going 59 km/h over limit
Stunting charge comes with automatic loss of licence for one week
A 22-year-old man from Port Hawkesbury is banned from driving for at least a week after police say he was caught driving 59 kilometres an hour over the speed limit in Linacy, Pictou County.
The man was travelling on Highway 104 when he was pulled over. At the time, police said he was going 159 kilometres an hour.
RCMP charged the man with stunting. Along with the driving ban, the man's vehicle was seized. He could be fined $2,412.41 if he's convicted. Stunting charges also come with a six point penalty on driving records.
