A 22-year-old man was killed early Sunday when his vehicle crashed in North River, near Truro.

The single-vehicle crash happened on Highway 311 at about 1:45 a.m.

The RCMP said it appears the driver missed a sharp turn as he was coming from Brule. He died at the scene.

The man's name has not been released, but the RCMP said he is from Truro.

Investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash. The RCMP said there was light rain at the time.

The man was the only person in the vehicle.
