A North Preston man, accused of human trafficking and facing charges of gang sexual assault, kidnapping and other offences, has been released on strict bail conditions.
Doreze Marvin Beals, 18, was charged after a 15-year-old girl said she was held in a Nova Scotia basement for two days and sexually assaulted last April.
Beals must remain under house arrest with his great aunt and uncle. Relatives must also escort him to and from medical and legal appointments.
He has spent eight months in custody at the Burnside Correctional Facility.
