A man died in a house fire in Dartmouth, N.S., Monday morning. 

Crews were called to a fire on Nestor Crescent just before 7 a.m., where they found a home burning. 

Firefighters went inside the smokey house and found a 67-year-old man. They pulled him out the front door and attempted CPR, but could not save him. 

RCMP have confirmed the man who died is James Bamwoya.

Divisional Commander Mike Blackburn said they do not believe anyone else was inside the home. An investigation is underway.

RCMP do not believe Bamwoya's death was suspicious.
