Renovations to the Alderney Landing terminal means there will be no ferry service for four consecutive Sundays.

The Halifax-Dartmouth ferry will be out of commission this Sunday while the Alderney Landing terminal in Dartmouth is being renovated.

Metro Transit is running backup buses between Alderney Landing and Lower Water Street.

The closure is necessary to complete tiling and overhead work on the ferry ramp.

The work began April 6 and will occur each Sunday until April 27.

The terminal renovations have included new washrooms, a new entrance and updates to the passenger area.
