Dartmouth attack sends man to hospital
Man, 52, struck in face while walking through parking lot near Primrose Street
A 52-year-old man is recovering after he was attacked and injured in a Dartmouth parking lot Monday night.
At 9:05 p.m., officers working in the Primrose Street area came upon a 52-year-old man who had injuries to his face.
Police say the man told them he had recently made a purchase at the nearby Lawtons pharmacy. While walking through a parking lot, someone asked the man what was in the bag he was carrying.
The man said he was then hit in the face with something hard. The victim, who was intoxicated at the time of the attack, said he doesn't remember anything after that.
He was taken to hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries.
