Cole Harbour boy, 17, faces child pornography charges
Several phones seized in investigation
A 17-year-old boy from Cole Harbour, N.S., faces child pornography charges after police received a complaint the teen was distributing images to other students.
RCMP say they were first alerted about the incident at Auburn Drive High School on Jan. 9. Officers say they seized several phones and the case was handed over to the internet child exploitation unit.
RCMP Cpl. Scott McRae says there are several teens involved.
The boy, who was 16 years old at the time, is accused of possessing and distributing child pornography.
He's set to appear in provincial youth court on May 8
