Halifax Regional Police have identified 58-year-old Frank John Lampe as the victim of a homicide in Clayton Park on Thursday night.

His body was discovered in the hallway of an apartment building at 10 Harlington Cres.

Police say they continue to investigate Lampe's death and no charges have been laid.

A second man was found on a nearby street with life-threatening injuries and taken into custody soon after Lampe's body was discovered.

The 20-year-old suspect was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre for treatment of his injuries.

He was released from police custody Friday night without charges, police say. They had no update on his condition but say he remains in hospital.

Police investigators are asking anyone with information or who may have seen a 20-year-man fleeing the Harlington Crescent building to contact them or to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers.
