The case of a 14-year-old Preston area boy charged with making and distributing child pornorgraphy has been held over until September.

In April, police were alerted about an online video showing a 15-year-old girl performing a consensual sexual act with a 14-year-old boy.

However, the victim said she did not consent to having the incident recorded.

It is alleged that the boy then posted the video online and "tagged" her, thereby identifying the girl. The video was online for two days before an adult saw it and flagged police.

This case has nothing to do with the Rehtaeh Parsons case, police said.

The teen was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday but the case is now being held over until Sept. 19 — the same court date set for two 18-year-olds charged with child pornography for texting an unauthorized photograph of Rehtaeh Parsons.
