Employees at the Chignecto-Central Regional School Board have voted in favour of walking off the job over their latest contract negotiations.
The group, which is represented by the Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union, voted 91 per cent in favour of a strike.
They include educational assistants, clerks, administrative professionals, IT specialists and librarians.
Of 434 votes cast, there were 396 in favour of the strike.
The union said their last contract expired on June 30, 2012.
