Police in Amherst are asking for information about a teen who has been missing for almost a month.
17-year-old hasn't made contact in a month
Police in Amherst, N.S., are asking for information about a teen who has been missing for almost a month. Charles Carson Johnson, who goes by Charlie, hasn't been heard from since June 27.
Police say the 17-year-old went missing from his home almost a month earlier, but was maintaining some contact with his family via social media. However, they say, that stopped at the end of June.
Deputy Chief Dwayne Pike says the family is very concerned about his well being.
"When all of a sudden someone stops communicating, what does it mean?" he said. "Does it mean they left the area? Does it mean something may have happened to them? We don't know."
Pike hopes Johnson makes contact.
Johnson is white, stands around five feet ten inches and weighs 125 pounds . He has blue eyes and medium brown hair. Police say he has a black tattoo on one shoulder.
They are urging Johnson, or anyone with information about his whereabouts, to contact Amherst Police at 902-667-8600.
