Body of missing Bridgewater woman, Catherine Burgoyne, ID'd

Bridgewater police say the body found Monday in the woods near King Street belongs to a missing woman they were looking for on Monday.

Bridgewater police say the body found Monday in the woods near King Street belongs to a missing woman they were looking for on Monday.

Catherine Burgoyne, 58, was reported missing on Oct. 29.

Members of the Bridgewater Police Service found her body Monday morning while they were searching.

The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner's office conducted an autopsy on Burgoyne's body. The cause of her death is undetermined, but police are treating it as suspicious.
