Bank of Canada governor Mark Carney will be in Halifax later this month to brief the country’s premiers on economic development.
Nova Scotia Premier Darrell Dexter said Carney will give the provincial leaders a complete fiscal picture at their fall meeting.
"He will be looking at the global economy, talking to us about the outlook for Europe, the United States, Canada, and also talking a bit about what we can expect to see on the inflation side over the next coming months and years," said Dexter.
Dexter said the provinces believe they have a role to play in the economic development of Canada.
The meetings are scheduled to start Nov. 22.
