Car hits pedestrian, 60, in marked Fairview crosswalk
48-year-old driver ticketed
A 60-year-old-woman is recovering after being hit by a car in a marked crosswalk in Halifax on Tuesday night, according to police.
Officers said she was struck just after 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Dunbrack Street and Main Avenue in Fairview.
She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre, but police said her injuries are not life threatening.
The 48-year-old woman who was driving was ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
