A 14-year-old girl from Whitney Pier, N.S. is heading to the World Boxing Championships in Kansas City, Missouri next week.
Taylor Ross, who weighs in at 145 pounds, has been boxing for three years, with a record of seven wins and one loss.
"I don't know what kind of competition I'll be facing until I get down there, I won't know anything until the first day of the fights, which is Wednesday and I could end up fighting twice or end up fighting every day when I get down there," Ross said.
"It's hard to prepare for one certain fight, cause you never know where you're going to be fighting," she said.
Ross has several trainers including her father, a fellow boxer.
Depending on how she does in Kansas City, she says she would eventually like to box in the Olympics.
