Boy hit by vehicle outside Dartmouth elementary school
8-year-old ran out into parking lot of Ian Forsyth Elementary School, say police
Halifax Regional Police say there will be no charges after an eight-year-boy was hit by a vehicle outside Ian Forsyth Elementary School in Dartmouth on Wednesday.
Police were called at 8:24 a.m. after the boy ran out into the parking lot and was hit by a 36-year-old woman as she was backing her car into a parking spot at the elementary school.
The vehicle stopped and the woman helped the boy until emergency crews arrived, police said.
He was taken to the IWK Health Centre and was released after being treated for minor injuries.
Police said they don't expect any charges to be laid.
