A woman's body was found in a home after a fire in Hubbards on Saturday night, according to Nova Scotia RCMP.

Police were called to a home on Shore Club Road around 10:15 p.m.

Her husband and two pets escaped.

The Mounties said there was substantial damage to the two-storey home.

Police are working with the medical examiner's office who will perform an autopsy on the woman's body.
