Barbershop shooting nets charges for Dartmouth man, 23

A man from Dartmouth faces charges after a daytime shooting at a barbershop Tuesday afternoon.

No one was injured when shots rang out in crowded Dartmouth barber shop

The incident happened just after 2 p.m. at a Dartmouth barber shop located in the Wyse Road plaza across from the MacDonald Bridge. There was a heavy police presence in the area. (CBC)
A man from Dartmouth faces charges after a shooting at a barbershop Tuesday afternoon.

The 23-year-old was arrested at the Dartmouth Sportsplex, not far from the barbershop where multiple shots were fired.

Police say even though there were about 20 people in the business at the time, no one was hurt. 

The man, who is in custody, will be in court on Thursday, where he'll be charged with several weapons offences, including discharging a firearm recklessly​.

The investigation into the shooting continues.
