Halifax Regional Police are seeking a man that assaulted another man outside The Toothy Moose bar on June 15.

At 3:56 a.m., a 24-year-old man was standing outside The Toothy Moose bar on Argyle Street in Halifax with two women.

The victim was approached by another man, who pushed his way by the women and punched the victim in the face without provocation.

Police say the victim fell to the ground and the man left on foot with another woman.

The victim was transported to hospital by friends and contacted police later that morning. He suffered serious facial injuries, including a broken jaw.

The suspect is described as a black man in his twenties, five foot 10 inches tall, with a small build. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black shirt, brown shorts, black sneakers and white socks.
