Andrew Younger leaves cabinet over 'personal matters'

Dartmouth East MLA Andrew Younger has requested temporary leave for "personal matters that require his full attention," the premier's office confirmed.

Dartmouth East MLA Andrew Younger has requested temporary leave from cabinet for "personal matters that require his full attention," the premier's office confirmed Tuesday.

Stephen McNeil's office said Younger's portfolio's — energy, communications Nova Scotia and part of the Gaming Control Act — have been temporarily reassigned. 

Economic and Rural Development and Tourism Minister Michel Samson will take over Younger's portfolios temporarily. Younger remains the MLA for Dartmouth East.
