Halifax Regional Police have arrested a 66-year-old who they say robbed the RBC Royal Bank at the corner of Spring Garden Road and Summer Street on Monday.

Police arrested the man after receiving a tip that he was walking in the 6100 block of Almon Street. He is being questioned.

Charges have not been laid.

Officers say a man went into the bank at around noon on Monday, said he had a weapon and demanded money. He left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured during the robbery.
