RCMP found more than $40,000 of allegedly stolen fine jewelry and collectable coins in a Lunenburg County, N.S., home.

Lunenburg District RCMP said they received a report of a theft from a home in the Hubbards area. Police arrested a man and he faces charges of theft over $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime.

RCMP said the arrest happened Nov. 20, but they only released the information Friday. Police did not explain the delay or offer more information on the incident.
