3 Oak Hill crash victims airlifted in critical condition
2 vehicles collided at 3:20 p.m., 5 sent to hospital
A two-car crash on Route 325 on Nova Scotia's South Shore has sent three people in critical condition to a Halifax hospital on a LifeFlight helicopter.
The crash shut down the highway in Oak Hill in both directions.
RCMP said a Ford vehicle with three people inside collided with a sport utility vehicle with two people inside. The three in the Ford car were airlifted to Halifax.
The people in the SUV were taken to South Shore Regional Hospital with undetermined injuries.
The crash happened at 3:20 p.m. on the road, located a few kilometres northeast of Bridgewater.
The highway was shut down for hours, reopening before 8 p.m.
Police are looking for witnesses to the crash. Anyone who saw the crash is asked to contact Lunenburg RCMP.
