Halifax police are investigating two separate shootings involving three homes that were hit by bullets Saturday night and early Sunday morning.

The first shooting happened around 9:40 p.m. Saturday on Williams Lake Road.

Police said a shot was fired and the bullet passed through a window. No one was injured.

Then around 1:45 a.m., about 10 kilometers up the Old Sambro Road, two homes were shot at on Moody Park Drive in Williamswood.

Police said someone sleeping awoke to hear gunshots. When police arrived they determined a car had been parked in that person's driveway and had fired across the street.

Two homes were hit. One twice, the other by a single shot.

Staff Sgt. Barb Saunders said it appears the shots came from a silver hatchback.

“No one was injured. There were people, two adults in the first home and a single adult in the second home and it's quite concerning for the residents in the area when something like this happens,” she said.

Police said it does not appear the two cases are connected.

There are no reported arrests.
