2 airlifted to hospital after 2 ATVs crash in Cape Breton

RCMP are investigating a crash in Cape Breton involving two ATVs that sent two young men to Halifax by helicopter with life threatening injuries on Sunday.

RCMP are investigating a crash in Cape Breton involving two ATVs that sent two young men to Halifax by helicopter with life threatening injuries on Sunday.

RCMP received the call at 5:26 p.m. that two ATVs had collided on Whycocomagh Port Hood Road.

A 20-year-old from Blues Mills, N.S. and a 21-year-old from River Denys. N.S. were airlifted to hospital in Halifax by LifeFlight helicopter.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

RCMP are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact police.
