1971 Chevrolet C10 Super Cheyenne found destroyed near Porters Lake

A two-tone classic pickup truck that was stolen from the parking lot of the Steak and Stein in Dartmouth has been found destroyed by fire, say police.

A two-tone classic pickup truck that was stolen from the parking lot of the Steak and Stein in Dartmouth has been found destroyed by fire, say police.

The burned truck was found at around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, on Alps Road off Highway 7 near Porters Lake. The truck was in excellent condition when stolen, say Halifax RCMP.

The classic Chevrolet was stolen outside the Steak and Stein on Portland Street between 6 and 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. (Facebook)

The owner reported the theft of the blue and white 1971 Chevrolet C10 Super Cheyenne on Wednesday night after leaving the restaurant on Portland Street.

The man provided an image of the truck depicted in a mural painted on his garage of the antique with custom chrome rims and a black tonneau cover.

No one has been arrested.
