Youth goes to trial next March for Igloolik woman's murder
A trial date has been set for a youth from Igloolik charged with the murder of 26-year-old Tracy Uttak.
Uttak was found dead in her home in Igloolik in November 2012. A 17-year-old male is charged with murder and break and enter with the intent to commit robbery in connection with Uttak's death.
He cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
A preliminary inquiry was held in June and a judge has ruled there is enough evidence to go to trial.
The trial is scheduled for next March in Iqaluit and three weeks have been set aside to hear the case.
