Skip David Kakuktinniq, Jamie Airut, Darren Makkigak, Arthur Siksik and coach Kevin Bussy are from Rankin Inlet.

Kevin Bussy is the coach for the Nunavut boy's team. He says that even though the boys didn't fare so well, they gained some valuable experience.

"Most of the teams have anywhere from 50 to 100 competitive games each year... but we have none because we have no teams to play against," he said. "But the boys have improved their curling tremendously."

David Kakuktinniq is the skip for the Junior boys.

"The competition is awesome," he said. "These guys have been curling for seven-plus years and a couple of our guys started last month. These guys are professionals."

Kakuktinniq's team also included Jamie Airut, Darren Makkigak and Arthur Siksik.

Nunavut's women's team from Iqaluit included skip Sadie Pinksen, Christianne West, Katie Chislett-Manning and Emily-Grace Matthews, along with coach Lynn Kreviazuk.
