Yellowknife RCMP investigate rash of break and enters

Police say a man has been knocking on doors, and breaking in if there is no answer.

Yellowknife RCMP are looking for a suspect or suspects in a rash of break and enters over the past week.

RCMP Cpl. Barry Ledoux says police are looking for a suspect or suspects in a rash of break and enters in Yellowknife over the past week.

"An individual, or individuals, are going up to a residence and knocking on the door, ringing the doorbell, and should nobody answer, they're taking that opportunity to attempt to gain entry into a residence," said Cpl. Barry Ledoux.

If someone answers, the person provides a reason for being there such as asking if there is any work to do around the house or yard.

Homeowners are asked to report any such incidents to police, and provide descriptions of people and vehicles involved.
