Just one day into the murder trial of Norman Larue, and jurors have already heard stunning admissions by the accused.

Undercover police officers secretly taped a confession while posing as members of a criminal gang.

In the recording, Larue describes how he killed a Whitehorse man who disrespected his mother-in-law.

Thirty four year old Larue is charged with first degree murder in connection with the 2008 death of Gordon Seybold.

Syebold’s remains were found in his burned out home along the Old Alaska Highway just north of Whitehorse.

At least 50 witnesses are expected to testify.

Three months have been set aside for the trial.
