Whitehorse man found in snow identified

Dylan Alexis, 24, died on the weekend. His body was found in the snow on a trail near McLean Lake Road.

A Whitehorse man whose body was found in the snow near a recreation trail has been identified.

Yukon coroner Kirsten MacDonald identified him as 24-year-old Dylan Alexis.

He was found on Saturday morning by two hikers on the Trans Canada Trail near McLean Lake Road.

RCMP and bylaw officers reached Alexis with snowmobiles. He was taken to Whitehorse General Hospital, where he died.

An autopsy and toxicology tests will take place this week.

RCMP say foul play is not suspected.
