"There were other motorists on the roadway at the time this occurred and witnesses are being followed up with the investigators," says Hoogland.

The 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse sustained heavy damage after rolling several times.

Hoogland says the driver was arrested at the scene.  He was then taken to hospital, treated and released.  He then spent the night in RCMP cells waiting a first court appearance.

A 22 year old male passenger in the vehicle is still in hospital being treated for injuries sustained in the crash.
