People in Fort Liard, N.W.T. are back on water delivery service after bacteriological testing of the community's reservoir came back clean Friday morning.

The hamlet had to shut down its water supply as a safety precaution, after someone broke into the water treatment plant on Thursday.

Officials had to check to see if anything had been put into the water reservoirs, but the tests came back clean.

Coins collected from the car-wash station, which is part of the plant, were stolen.

A 20-year-old man from Fort Liard turned himself in to RCMP Thursday. He now faces charges of breaking and entering, possession of break-in tools, mischief, and theft under $5,000.

He is set to appear in territorial court in the community on Aug. 14.
