Fewer Nunavummiut cast ballots yesterday than in any election since the territory was created in 1999.
Elections Nunavut says voter turnout was 64 per cent across the territory. That's down almost 10 per cent from the 2008 general election and 20 per cent from the one in 2004.
The lowest participation was in the Aggu constituency with a turnout of just over 49 per cent, followed by 50 per cent in Iqaluit-Sinaa.
The highest percentage of voters came out in Cambridge Bay — 101.7 per cent. Fourteen more people cast votes in that constituency than were on the voters' list.
South Baffin had the next highest turnout at 82.4 per cent, followed by Pangnirtung at 80 per cent.
