Bombardier's 2013 MXZ X Ski-Doo, one of 23 snowmobile models being recalled for a fuel pump inlet problem that could cause a fuel leak. (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission)Bombardier has issued a recall affecting 23 of its latest Ski-Doo models.
The recall includes 2013 MXZ, GSX, Renegade, Freeride, Grand Touring, Skandic and Summit models.
Transport Canada says on some snowmobiles the fuel pump inlet may contact the oil tank and become damaged, which would result in a fuel leak. A fuel leak could cause a fire.
Dealers can fix the problem, for free, by installing spacers for the fuel tank and oil tank.
