Missing Fort Good Hope, N.W.T., teen’s body found

The body of a missing 14-year-old girl from Fort Good Hope, N.W.T., has been found.
RCMP and residents searched the community after she didn't return home this past Sunday. She was discovered around noon on Monday near the Fort Good Hope Reservoir.
About 500 people live in the community of Fort Good Hope, N.W.T. (Google)Police are not releasing the girl's name at the request of the family. Foul play is not suspected.
Cory McNeely helped search for the missing teen.
"One thing's for sure, I just hope that parents become more cautious about where their kids are and what they're doing and just making sure that people are more safe - especially in this kind of weather. I just hope that we learn our lesson about this kind of stuff," he said.
The investigation is now being handled by the territory’s coroner.
The police are warning people heading out on the land to dress for the conditions and let family and friends know about their travel plans.
