Woman found dead in Yellowknife
Police are treating the death as suspicious

A 63-year-old woman was found dead in Yellowknife Sunday morning.
Police said they got a call notifying them about the body at about 7:30 a.m. The woman was found on the ground near Franklin Avenue and 53rd Street.
She was taken to Stanton Territorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police said they are treating the death as suspicious. The RCMP’s major crimes unit and the Office of the Chief Coroner of the Northwest Territories are investigating.
They have not released the woman’s name.
