N.W.T. man pleads not guilty to sexual assault, confinement

A Fort Resolution, N.W.T., man has pleaded not guilty to charges of sexual assault, forcible confinement, uttering threats and firearms offences.
Donald Pierrot, 47, is facing seven charges in connection to an incident that happened at a residence in the community Nov. 8.
The alleged victim required medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
Pierrot will have a preliminary inquiry in Fort Resolution on Jan. 28. That will determine if there's enough evidence for the accused to stand trial.
