Students at St. Lawrence College in Kingston, Ontario gathered to remember Ken Kilabuk.

The 22-year old Pangnirtung man was a student at the school. Kilabuk's body was found in a Kingston river on Saturday.

“In some sense it's kinda a relief because we know where he's at now, instead of not knowing,” said Kilabuk’s classmate and friend, Jericho Brayley. “The not knowing part was really bothering us and the classmates.”

Kilabuk had been missing for two weeks. An autopsy conducted on Monday in Ottawa found the cause of death to be drowning.

Police can't say if Kilabuk's death is suspicious or not.

“At this point in time we’re not making that determination,” said Constable Steven Koopman of the Kingston Police. “We feel it would be premature to do so. We’re still going to consider this serious. We’re going to eliminate all options first before coming to a conclusion.”

Police are trying to determine what happened to Kilabuk from the time he disappeared until his body was discovered.
