A 28-year-old Whitehorse woman has been charged with impaired driving following an accident Saturday that sent two people to hospital.
The collision occurred just after 4 p.m. at Ray Street and Second Avenue near Shipyards Park in downtown Whitehorse.
A pick-up truck collided with a Chevy Suburban.
The fire department had to use the jaws of life to free one person from the pickup. Both passengers in that vehicle were taken to Whitehorse General Hospital and one was held overnight for observation.
Police say the occupants of the SUV were not visibly injured and chose to go to the hospital on their own.
The third occupant of the pickup, the 28-year-old driver, has been charged with impaired driving and driving with a blood alcohol level over .08.
