Iqaluit RCMP are investigating the armed robbery of a food delivery driver in late September.
Police say the male driver was delivering food to the 2200 area of Iqaluit at about 1:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26 when he was approached by a man outside the Ivavik Building who asked him for a cigarette.
After the driver said he didn’t have any cigarettes, the man assaulted the driver then produced a pair of scissors and demanded money.
The man took a small amount of cash, then ran towards Apex.
The suspect is described as an Inuk male in his mid-20s with a goatee, shorter than average, wearing a red or black hat and a hoodie.
Police say information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case may be eligible for up to $2,000 in a cash reward through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
