One person is dead following a fire Monday night at a duplex in the hamlet of Cambridge Bay, Nunavut. (Red Sun Productions)
One person is dead following a fire Monday night in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut.
A fire was reported in a duplex in the evening. Volunteer fire chief Keith Morrison said firefighters were able to bring the fire under control quickly.
However, people were at home at the time the fire started, and one adult did not survive.
Morrison said the cause of the fire is still unknown and an investigation is underway.
