The search for a young hunter who went missing south of Hall Beach has ended happily as searchers found the young man.
Simon Arnatsiaq, 15, from Igloolik had been out caribou hunting with two other people when he went missing Monday night.
He had last been seen about 30 kilometres south of Hall Beach.
People from both Hall Beach and Igloolik helped look for him by boat and ATV.
Celestino Uyarak, with Search and Rescue in Igloolik, reported around 8 a.m. local time Wednesday that Arnatsiaq had been found.
"The grandparents and parents of the missing young man have just been notified. He was a bit cold, but he's ok."
Uyarak said searchers were getting a debrief on the search when he was found. He said finding the teenager is a big relief for the whole community.
