1 injured in Cape Dorset, Nunavut, shooting
Man treated and released with non life-threatening injuries

A man in Cape Dorset, Nunavut, was shot with a shotgun which was loaded with bird shot.
The incident happened at about 2:00 a.m. local time on June 27.
The man was taken to the local health centre and treated for his injuries. He was later released with non life-threatening injuries.
The RCMP has arrested Cape Dorset resident Ottokie Qimirpik in relation to the incident. He has been charged with discharging a firearm with intent, aggravated assault and mischief.
He has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court Aug. 20 in Cape Dorset.
