Less than a minute separated top two mushers in 1,600 km race

Neff said this was his 20th thousand-mile race and the first he has ever won.
"Iditarod is all famous and all that but around here, we all know we love the Quest because the Quest is all about the spirit, not only of the north but about the history of the north," said Neff.
"Whenever I'm out on that trail, I just think about all the amazing people that have been out on these trails and it gives me motivation."
Neff left the last checkpoint 30 minutes later than Moore because he was given a half-hour penalty for not having an axe. That's part of the mushers’ mandatory gear.
Neff managed to overtake Moore about 30 kilometres out of Whitehorse.
Neff takes home a pecentage of the purse. That will amount to just under $30,000.
The race started Feb. 4 in Fairbanks, Alaska.
